✨ hi, I’m Olivia!

​For as long as I can remember, I have loved to talk. I’ve always been a “Chatty Cathy,” talking anyone’s ear off who will listen, so it’s no surprise I landed in a profession where talking is a big part of the job.

I spent nearly a decade pursuing a career in journalism and working in TV news stations across the West Coast. I started from the bottom, running teleprompter at Cal Poly SLO’s college TV station. While getting my degree, an internship at the local NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo led to my first weekend producer gig there, where I put three shows on the air every Saturday and Sunday.

A couple years later, I landed my first on-air job working as a reporter and anchor in Reno, NV. After two years, I traded the Silver State for the Golden State, moving back home to Sacramento to start my dream job as a morning reporter at FOX40 in Sacramento.

I’ve covered everything from elections to wildfires. I’ve anchored breaking news and I’ve scaled down the side of a 15-story building live on the air (yes- that really happened!) I’ve been honored to watch history unfold before my eyes and proud to seek the truth every day on the job.

But during my time working in news, I realized something BIG:

As much as I like to talk, listening is actually my favorite aspect of being a journalist.

So after many early mornings waking up before the sunrise, I decided to take a leap of faith and leave the TV news industry to create a new kind of morning show experience.

Through daily live streams on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, my goal is to build a community where you can wake up with me and join the conversation.
