YEAR OF THE WATER TIGER
The Lunar New Year (aka Chinese New Year) is marked by the second new moon rising after the winter solstice. This is the beginning of a 16-day celebration by billions around the world to usher in prosperity for the new year. The Chinese zodiac is based on Jupiter’s 12-year lap around the sun, assigning a different animal to each year.
2022 is the year of the Water Tiger, which is ruled by Uranus. The last time we had a year of the Water Tiger was 1962. We’re coming out of the year of the Metal Ox, ruled by Saturn. This corresponds to the shift we’re feeling coming out of Capricorn season and into the Age of Aquarius.
