This is the second time Pluto returns back to the exact position in the sky it was at when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence. It’s important to note though- because Pluto moves so slowy, this entire year pretty much feels like a death and rebirth of the United States of America. The first time Pluto made it back to this position was on 2/22/2022- a powerful day in itself. Now that Pluto is retrograde, this energy feels like a review of the transformation we’re currently undergoing as a nation. If we’re willing to face the collective shadows ingrained into our country’s culture, we can release them to build a more stable future.

We can consciously see the direction we’re meant to go as the Cancer sun forms a supportive angle to the North Node. We are connected to our intuition during Cancer season, allowing our feelings to be our guide. At the same time, the sun harmonizes with the South Node, allowing us to easily use what we’ve learned in our past to make way towards our future.

We could experience confusion between our feelings about whether to honor the past or focus on the future as the Sagittarius moon squares off to Neptune. This transit blurs boundaries and makes us question what is real. This is not a time to make decisions, but instead, to ponder and reflect.

As the planet of death and rebirth returns to where it was on July 4, 1776, we get a glimpse into our past and reflect on what is being transformed in the present to build a more stable future for our country. The Cancer sun connects with the North and South Nodes today, furthering the awareness of past versus future. A supportive angle to the North Node gives us the push we need to lean away from our comfort zone. The waxing Sagittarius moon opposes Venus, giving us a need for love and affection. It will be easy to fall back into familiar territory today. By the evening, the moon gets support from Saturn, helping us see what practical adjustments we need to make to align with our long-term goals. A square between the moon in Neptune can cause some confusion tonight though. This isn’t a day to make decisions, but rather to ponder and reflect on the path forward.
